Tamil films are gearing up for a clash this weekend at the box-office. And one such movie is Sathya. No, not the 1988 Kamal Haasan blockbuster; that will not be re-released (how we wish it was though). The upcoming film we are talking about is the 2017 film Sathya starring Sibiraj and others.
The film not only got the title of Kamal Haasan's film but also the star's good wishes. The actor had some good things to say about the film as well as about the lead actor when the first look poster was released in February this year.
All the very best @Sibi_Sathyaraj .Glad to see your Sathya also sports a beard. Rock on.

The film directed by Pradeep Krishnamoorthy is an intense crime-thriller that releases on 24th November this year. The director is known for his earlier film Saithan starring Vijay Antony which released last year. Sathya is produced by Sibiraj's home banner Nathambal Film Factory and also stars Remya Nambeesan and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the lead. The trailer looks intense and involves a lot of thrilling and action moments. From the trailer, it looks like Sibiraj's character is on a hunt to find a little girl. Sibiraj seems to be playing two roles – Vasanth Menon, a cop, and Sathya, a journalist. But are these two the same person? We can't say that for sure right now. Sathya and Shwetha (Remya) seem to be on a mission to prove the existence of the little girl who may be related to Shwetha. While the others think the girl is imaginary, Sibiraj's character is the only one who believes in the existence of the child. But is the child real or imaginary? Our question will be answered this Friday when the film hits the big screen.
Simon.K.King is the music director of Sathya and Arunmani Palani has handled the cinematographer of this thriller. Sathya, interestingly, is the remake of the Telugu super-hit film Kshanam (2016).
