The concept of reality shows in India has been literally overused now, with most shows crossing their 8th-9th season. However they still work, due to three reasons. Firstly, because of the loyal audience, for whom reality shows are like tadka in their dal, adding flavor and entertainment to their lives. The people who sit with the remote in one hand and their phones in the other, waiting to vote for their favorite contestant are the one who keep the show running. Secondly, reality shows have never-ending celebs who want to either resurrect their careers and regain/gain some popularity, and yeah also some good moolah (why not!). And thirdly, reality shows have judges or hosts who add glamor and masala into the show and pull more audiences, thereby increasing the TRPs. Here are a few judges who have made a certain phrases their own and have upped the entertainment quotient:
Madhuri Dixit: Perrrfeectt!
Madhuri says Perrffect every time she loves a performance in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, which happens quite often, to the fans’ delight.
Geeta Kapur: Stupendo fantabulously fantastic performance
This use of nonsensical adjectives by Geeta Kapur added a fun quotient to the TV show Dance India Dance.
Remo D’souza: This. Is. It!
Remo D’souza stood up each time to say these magical 3 words every contestant wanted to hear in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
Navjot Singh Sidhu: Chaa Gaye Guru!
Sidhu has made the most of this phrase since the time he appeared on television. Also, his shayaris and laughter are not unknown.
Terence Lewis: Whattey Chumeshwari Performance
Terence, who doesn’t know much of Hindi, says this signature line in Dance India Dance. We wonder if he knows what it means.
Salman Khan: Do whatever you want to do man!
Salman uses these words every time he ends a Bigg Boss episode. In season 9, he started saying "Do whatever you want man but don’t trouble your mother". Well, it’s Salman unique way of entertaining us, can’t say much.
Archana Puran Singh: Hhahahahahahah
Well, that’s what we heard all the time in Comedy Circus. Booming, echoing laughter.
Mithun Da: Kya Baat, Kya Baat, Kya Baat
Mithun Da really owned this phrase on Dance India Dance, with a complementary standing ovation and salute.
Raghu Rajiv: *$#$#@$#*
Every Roadies episode had intensely enraged judges and yes, beeps.
