Skin Care Ingredients You Should Not Use

Not everything that is homemade is better than store-bought. This is not to say you cannot fix skin woes at home. You could, provided you get your recipes right. If you’re looking out for DIY beauty tips on Google, you may want to be careful. Everything that grows on a tree, does not necessarily have to be okay to put on your face. When it comes to skin care, natural does not always mean good. Before you DIY, don’t forget to do your homework. Even if the ingredients seem harmless, sometimes, they may just land up doing more harm than good.

Baking Soda
There are a number of DIY recipes that suggest baking soda as an exfoliator. However, baking soda has a pH much higher than where healthy skin should lie. To avoid rashes, keep it away.
