The pride of Punjab, team Kings XI Punjab, have rehearsed their war cry and are raring to go onto the battleground. With an additional venue at Dharamsala this year, KXIP are in fine form. The logo of the team comprises 5 elements: The crest symbolizing pride, the banner 5 Indian states the team represents, the lions that symbolize strength to excel, the Sun symbolizing that the players will shine on the field, and the two balls that remind Kings XI why they exist (cricket). The team fared moderately in the earlier seasons but are hoping to win the cup this year. And the two new players- Indian middle-order batsman Mohammad Kaif and South African bowler Yusuf Abdullah- should help. On the outcome of the auctions, Team Coach Tom Moody commented, "The new players are going to bolster the team’s performance. My boys and me will ensure that our performance brings the Cup home this year!" That said, it’s now upto the Kings to prove their mettle on the field. Not to forget that this season Sri Lankan Kumar Sangakkara takes the reins from Yuvraj Singh as captain. So can Kings XI Punjab pull it off this year? The fans can’t hardly wait and the rush for tickets has begun. Their beat is obviously Bhangra and our message to them is "CHAK DE PHATTE"!
