Born and brought up in Mumbai, Tamannaah Bhatia, born to Punjabi parents, is today considered to be one of the most sought-after actresses in the South film industry. Even though she is not a south-Indian by birth, she arguably rules the South Cinema today with mega-hit movies like Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) to her credit.
Her other blockbuster hits are Padikathavan (2009), Ayan (2009), Veeram (2014), Paiyaa (2010) and the recent Tamil movie Devi (L) which released this year. She has seen many ups and downs in both her Bollywood and South career. Having debuted with the movie Chaand Sa Roshan Chehra (2005) which turned out to be a commercial failure, Tamannah Bhatia has come a long way.
Apart from her movies, she is also known for her style, which has evolved over the years. For one of her early movies, Kalloori (2007), Tamannaah was seen in a de-glam role as a simple college girl. She continued this de-glam look for a lot of her movies from then on.
In 2013, the masala movie Tadakha, Tamannaah lit the screen on fire with Naga Chaitanya.
Her look, a little white dress with her hair neatly tied, with slits on the collar and sleeves in the song Caller Tune from the movie Humshakals (2014) was simply stunning.
Year 2015 could possibly be called the best year for her career as she signed the blockbuster hit movie Baahubali opposite Prabhas, who was seen opposite her in the movie Rebel in 2012. Her look in this movie is, without a doubt, the best ever. We are sure you agree too.
Here's wishing this beautiful actress who rules South cinema, a very happy birthday and good luck for her movie Baahubali: The Conclusion, which releases in 2017.
