Suit up! Task Force X, or the Suicide Squad, as they are commonly known, have finally been revealed to us, and they look ready for trouble! Director David Ayer recently uploaded a picture of the cast of the highly awaited DC film, on a microblogging site. The film is about a team of supervillains, who have been roped in by a government agency to work together for a chance at a clean slate and a new future. The only problem is that most of these missions are incredibly dangerous, and none of them are expected to survive.
The new picture reveals costumes for Harley Quinn and Deadshot, played by Margot Robbie and Will Smith and also for the rest of the cast. Check it out:
From left, the lineup shows Adam Beach as Slipknot, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Karen Fukuhara down in front as Katana, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc and Jay Hernandez as El Diablo.
Director David Ayer also posted a picture of Will Smith as Deadshot in full costume, and he looks amazing. Check it out:
However, the Joker (played by Jared Leto) is conspicuously missing, and so is Amanda Waller (played by Viola Davis), the team’s handler. The film is set for a 2016 release, and if the film’s IMDB page is to be believed, then maybe Jesse Eisenberg and Ben Affleck may make appearances as Lex Luthor and Batman. Here’s hoping that the film does well!
