The theme for Surajkund 2018
Surajkund Craft Mela is based on a theme every year. While the last six years revolved around three states viz. Assam, Karnataka and Goa, this year's theme state is Uttar Pradesh. The Surajkund ka Mela is all about crafts, traditions, and culture. It is organized by the Surajkund Mela Authority and Haryana Tourism in collaboration with union ministries of tourism, textiles, culture and external affairs. There's also an exclusive partner nation for the Mela and for the 2018 edition, it is Kyrgyzstan. The fair welcomes more than a million visitors and art lovers every year with more than 20 countries participating in the fair. The largest fair of its kind in the world, it showcases various traditional activities and dance performances from every state of our country.
