One may agree that it was indeed Vikas Bahl's critically acclaimed venture, Queen, that sort of made Kangana Ranaut a household name. Plus, it gave her what she deserved- the National Film Award for Best Actress. Well, the Kangana Ranaut blockbuster is now being remade in Tamil and is being helmed by veteran actress Revathi. For the lead, actress Tamannaah Bhatia has been roped in.
Speaking about stepping into Kangana Ranaut's shoes, Tamannaah revealed in a recent interview that she has always wanted to be part of the film's remake even when she was not quite sure if it was ever going to happen. According to her, it was the quality of reaching out to all sections of the audience that made the film special. She further revealed that the rare women-centric film evoked a feeling of freedom and individual capacity.
Thrilled to work on the untitled film, the actress also disclosed that it is less of a remake and more of an adaptation since a few things have to be altered so as to cater to Tamil sensibilities.
Bhatia, who was paired opposite Prabhas in the multi-crore money-spinner Baahubali, is currently in the process of filming its sequel.
