Now a decade may seem like a long time but it is still difficult to imagine that it has been 10 years since 2017. We took a trip down Bollywood's memory lane to see the movies that are a decade old and discovered some gems and surprises. Can you believe that the famous dialogue 'Sattar Minute' inspired us a decade ago or that Akshay Kumar's speech on Indian power was 10 years ago. Here are 10 movies that turn released in 2007 and 10 this year. Prepare to feel old!
Om Shanti Om
The movie that celebrated Bollywood in a way with most of the film fraternity shaking legs for a song while the plot was based on re-incarnation, a favorite of Bollywood. It is difficult to believe that Shah Rukh Khan delivered this and Chak De! India in the same year. Not to forget Deepika Padukone made her debut with this movie. The girl has achieved a lot in a decade.
This remake of a Malayalam movie was perhaps the highlight of the year and Vidya Balan's career. The Akshay Kumar starrer drama-comedy movie was a complete package with some spine-chilling moments and a lot of laughs. We would still watch this movie if it airs on TV.
Shootout at Lokhandwala
One of Ekta Kapoor's first successful ventures into Bollywood. The ensemble boasted of names like Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Suneil Shetty, Vivek Oberoi, Tussar Kapoor and more did a stellar of depicting the story of the gruesome stories on screen and we can't believe that it has been 10 years since the movie.
Taare Zameen Par
Aamir Khan is known to deliver only excellent movies and this one was no different. Not only did it highlight the issues associated with dyslexia, the medium of art was used very well and portrayed how it can become legit technique to help children learn better.
It is difficult to believe that Ranbir Kapoor is only a decade old when it comes to Bollywood. We feel he has been around forever. Sonam Kapoor made her debut right alongside him in this Sanjay Leela Bhansali film.
Love has no age and no movie could have said it better than this one. Amitabh Bachchan's straight-faced gruffness and Tabu's wit was a powerful combination. We wish Bollywood made more love stories like this.
A hilarious masterpiece, which gave a new meaning to the term straight-faced comedy. The second one didn't manage to create the same amount of buzz as the first one but the first one still manages to get a chuckle out of us every time we watch it.
