Who does't love retro music? There is no denying the fact that the songs of the yesteryears hold a special place in our hearts. YouTube is a blessing in the current times when we can revisit those eras. For a while it is possible to be transported into a different time, that feeling is inexplicable. 

Among its many uses, YouTube has established itself as a platform, which promotes new talent. Over the last couple of years there have been many channels that boast of talented artists doing a modern take on your old favorites. These new versions retain the tune and the lyrics of the old songs and add an individual new touch to the hits. Being Indian Music

This channel has some amazing singers who perform songs of the 60s and 70s giving them a softer touch with instruments that weren't used in the older times. Sometimes they also do a mashup of the old and the new creating something unique. You should not miss their Kishore Kumar and R. D. Burman mashups. They will surely be a treat to your ears.

Strumm Sound

A variety of popular voices like Ash KingMeiyang Chang and Prajakta Shukre make up Strumm Sound. Not only do they cover songs from the 60s and 70s, they also have songs from the 90s in a way that will only make you fall in love with them more. You should listen to 'Yeh Zameen Ga Rahi Hai` and 'Bahon Ke Darmiyan'.


Sanam is a band that started with covers and now have their original compositions too. With over a million subscribers, this band is also known for their song 'Main Hoon' that featured in the Hindi version of 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2`. Covers of 'Lag Ja Gale' and 'Gulabi Aankhen' are the highlights of this channel.

Pehchan Music

If you want your favorite singers to revisit their own songs, this is the channel for you. Artists like Lucky Ali, Arijit Singh and Armaan Malik have contributed to this channel. You will love the retro mashup by Atif Aslam and the unplugged version of `Baahon Mein Chali Aao` by Neeti Mohan.

Saregama GenY

Saregama has embraced this new trend and recreated many of their old songs. A variety of known and unknown artists are chosen to deliver these revisited versions and you won't complain giving them a listen. You should definitely lend your ear to the revisited versions of 'Raat Akeli Hai' and ' Pyar Diwana Hota Hai'.
