There is a girl who wants to create change, and a boy who loves her. What happens when the boy follows the love of his life wherever she goes, and ends up in a village where the only mode of commuting is by using a rope bridge? Love does make you do strange things. And when it comes to Bollywood, things go extreme.
Releasing on 22nd November is Punit Malhotra’s Gori Tere Pyar Mein starring the yummilicious pair Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor. The dance number from the movie “Tooh” is already a hit, with people humming it everywhere. The Imran-Kareena pair did a total knock-out job in Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu (2012), even though the movie wasn’t that awesome.
So, Gori Tere Pyar Mein (GTPM in short) is a romantic-flick directed by Punit Malhotra and produced by Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions. Punit Malhotra’s earlier work, I Hate Love Stories (2010) with Sonam Kapoor and Imran Khan got a pretty good response at the Box Office. Previously, he worked as an assistant director on Karan Johar’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), Nikhil Advani’s Kal Ho Na Ho (2003), Amol Palekar’s Paheli (2003) and Tarun Mansukhani’s Dostana (2008).
Coming back to Gori Tere Pyar Mein; the film is targeted towards the young movie-goers and families and so we can expect a lot of fun and gigs! The movie was shot at various locations across the country. According to sources, the first-half is primarily shot in Bangalore where the romance begins and the second half was shot outside Bhuj in Gujarat, then Rai outside Pune in Maharashtra and then in Film City.
Need a reason to watch this movie? Because Kareena and Imran look so very adorable onscreen and you can actually go “aww…” watching them.
Imran Khan’s particular brand of wholesome, winning charm would be enough for any woman smile and go wobbly in her knees. Kareena Kapoor can be sexily-elegant and the goofy girl at the same time, she is just oh-so-pretty! And together, they create a charm onscreen which is just delightful and entertaining from start to finish.
So all rom-com lovers, don’t miss out on this movie and do the "Tooh"!
