Aamir Khan is known as the perfectionist for a reason. Regardless of the huge fan following that King Khan and Bhaijaan have, Aamir takes the cake away with his one release every year. In the year 2016, while Sultan was the highest grosser throughout the year, Dangal, an Aamir starrer, took the lead in just eight days and later on became the highest grossing movie of all times with a collection of INR 383.88 Cr (as of 26th January 2017). And this is the third consecutive year.
We all are well aware that the three Khans has been ruling the list of the top-grossing movies since years, Let's have a look at the top five grossers of all time after Dangal:
PK (2014) : 339.50 Cr
Starring Aamir Khan, Anushka Sharma and Sushant Singh Rajput (cameo), the film was about an alien who is stuck on planet Earth. The film was a take on religion and the fake God men who have turned faith into a business.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015) : 320.34 Cr
Salman Khan starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan was about a Hanuman bhakt who swore to re-unite a little girl with her family that lives in Pakistan.
Sultan (2016) : 300.45 Cr
The second highest grosser of 2016, Sultan was a fiction drama about a wrestler who wins a gold medal at Olympics but loses his son. He goes on to win an Indian Wrestling League when he gets back to wrestling after eight years.
Dhoom 3 (2013) : 280.25 Cr
The third Aamir Khan starrer in the list, the third edition of Dhoom Series was about two brothers who owned the Great Indian Circus and wanted to avenge the death of their father. The film also starred Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra.
Krrish 3 (2013) : 240.50 Cr
The most famous superhero of India is also on the list. This Hrithik Roshan starrer was the second Krrish movie and third after Koi Mil Gaya. The film had mutants, future technology and an IVF child of Rohit (Krrish's father) played by Vivek Oberoi.
