These Bollywood Songs From 2017 Are Remixed Versions of Older Songs

If there's a formula to create a chartbuster, it has to be a remix of an old song. It doesn't matter if the newer version has different lyrics or a completely new tune, the formula still works. Purists hate when classic Bollywood songs are remade but seeing how they top the charts, music composers would love to include one in every album. Check out which Bollywood songs had a version 2.0 in 2017.

The Humma Song

A rendition of Humma Humma from Bombay, The Humma Song featured Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor. Both the tracks were composed by A. R. Rahman.

Saara Zamana

Haven’t you heard the song Saara Zamana Haseeno Ka Deewana? This track from Kaabil is one of the biggest hits of 2017. The original song was from the film Yaarana.

Tamma Tamma Again

Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt grooved to the beats of Badshah in this track from Badrinath Ki Dulhania. To promote the song, the lead actors made an Instagram video with Madhuri Dixit, who featured in the original. 

Chalti Hai Kya 9 Se 12 and Oonchi Hai Building 

Judwaa 2, which was a newer take on the 1997 blockbuster, featured these two songs from the Salman Khan film. Anu Malik scored the numbers for both  Judwaa and Judwaa 2. 

Cheez Badi

The film Machine may not have worked, but its song topped the charts. Featuring Mustafa and Kiara Advani, it was programmed by Tanishk Bagchi.
