Remember when the pretty college Professor Malar (Sai Pallavi) in the movie Premam breaks into a dance and left your jaws on the floor? Yes, prepare to do the same this Friday when you see her do it all over again in the movie Fidaa. Also starring Tollywood hunk Varun Tej in the lead, Fidaa will hit the big screen on 21st July, 2017.
This Love-Hate-Love story revolves around Varun, an NRI studying medicine in the US and Bhanumati, a small town girl from Telangana. From the looks of the first trailer that was released a month back Varun comes to Telangana with the purpose to find his brother/friend a bride. And this is where he meets the bubbly and naughty Bhanumati. He falls in love with her and they have their moments. But what happens after that? Will Varun and Bhanumati end up together? We will have to wait and find out when the movie releases.
Produced by Dil Raju under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations, Fidaa is directed by Sekhar Kammula director of films like Happy Days (2007), Life Is Beautiful (2012), Anaamika (2014) and many others. Known as one of the most successful producers in tollywood, Dil Raju's filmography includes superhits like Arya (2004), Bommarillu (2006), Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (2013), Duvvada Jagannadham (2017) and many others.
The film has catchy and melodious music by Shakthikanth Karthick.
In the song Vachinde, Sai Pallavi proves what an immensely talented dancer she actually is. A dancer, an actor and a doctor now, this girl sure is multi-talented. Originally a tamil girl, Sai Pallavi made her debut with the Malayalam movie Premam which made her a household name in Kerala and now she seems to be all set to work her magic on the Telugu audience.
Varun may not have had a great year so far with only one release – Mister, which didn't do as well as it was expected to at the box-office now seems to have found the perfect film. The great chemistry between the soft-spoken Varun and the bubbly Bhanumati is undeniable and something to look forward to. Will they be the next "It couple" of Tollywood? We can't wait to find out.
The trailer, various songs, motion posters and teasers released so far leave you feeling warm. Here's hoping the film turns out to be a blockbuster feel-good entertainer. Don't forget to read our review of this film right here.
