Watch: Sultan Trailer

The trailer of the much-awaited ‘Sultan’ starring our own bhai Salman Khan is out and it has all that a Salman fan would expect – the grand Salman entrance, action sequences, comedy, Salmanisms and of course, a lot of Salman Khan. The story revolves around Sultan Ali Khan, an Olympic Gold Medal winning wrestler played by Salman himself; the wrestler’s rise, fall and resurrection. Evidently, the actor has put in a lot of effort to play convincingly the character of a 40-year-old wrestler and for the very first time, he will be cheered to show off a paunch (Don’t worry. The paunch won’t last longer than one scene). The best part of the trailer is that it seems Sultan lacks the general ‘Salmanism’, which was much required as the expectations from the Sultan of Bollywood have risen after Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

Anushka Sharma who will be seen as Aarfa, the lady love of Sultan, also plays a wrestler who has nothing in common with a typical heroine of a typical Bollywood flick. But since the trailer features very less of Aarfa, it leaves us wondering about her screen presence and the significance of the role she plays in the movie. The trailer also has a few surprises like Randeep Hooda and Amit Sadh in the later half, which adds to excitement and makes the wait more difficult.

To sum it all, it is a Salman film and he rocks every bit of the frame with his swag and a cute Haryanvi accent. All you bhai fans can happily watch it 100 times as you wait for this Idi from him.
