In the last few years, though the actor received flak for working on movies that would make money rather than the content-oriented ones. Chennai Express, Happy New Year, and Dilwale had wafer-thin plots and Khan’s fans were dying to see him in better films. Gauri Shinde’s film may focus on Alia Bhatt’s character but Shah Rukh, too, plays an important role in this November 25th release. As revealed in Dear Zindagi Take 2, his character's name is Jehangir Khan and he is apparently a psychiatrist.
Raees was supposed to release on Eid 2016 but to avoid clashing with Salman Khan’s Sultan, the film was pushed to January 26th, 2017. Unfortunately, Shah Rukh couldn't get a solo release as his movie will hit theatres alongside the Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam-starrer, Kaabil. The Raees teaser was out earlier this year and the trailer is expected to be launched soon.
Tentatively titled The Ring, Imtiaz Ali’s next film after Tamasha, stars Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma in the lead roles. The shoot is underway in Europe and Khan reportedly plays the role of a tour guide in the film. The Ring will most likely release for Diwali 2017.

Will SRK play a dwarf in this film? Well, we don't know yet and the makers have refused to comment on it. The film, which was announced some months ago, is slated to release on December 21st, 2018. Deepika Padukone or Katrina Kaif will be seen opposite Khan in the movie.
