Bollywood doesn’t often give us thrillers. If you are bored of the same old rona-dhona Hindi films, get ready for Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam, releasing this weekend .
Okay, we get that you were highly disappointed with the star’s last film – Action Jackson. But, hey, let’s not give up on him! Drishyam has been getting a lot of positive buzz, since its trailer release. And we are genuinely curious to know more about the film.
Are you unsure of whether to go for the movie this weekend? Here are five reasons why you should not miss this brand new thriller from Bollywood.
A classic whodunit
Who doesn’t love a good murder mystery? Drishyam has a lot in store for fans of crime thrillers. Drishyam chronicles the story of Vijay Salgaonkar, whose life gets entangled in a web of crime, law and murder. If you’re someone who binge-watches TV series like Sherlock or Castle, Drishyam will not disappoint you.
Ajay Devgn’s onscreen charisma is something which we all like. Even though we aren’t fans of some of his previous films, Ajay Devgn promises a lot more in Drishyam. His brooding and somewhat mysterious look in the trailer intrigues us, making us eager to know more about Vijay Salgaonkar’s character.
Tabu is one of Bollywood’s powerhouse performers. We loved her in Haider! She is back to the big screen as a [email protected]$$ cop in Drishyam. We are dying to watch her in the much-revered khaki vardi.
The haunting music
Besides the thrill and suspense, Drishyam is also packed with brilliant music. The background score is composed by Vishal Bharadwaj and the lyrics are written by Gulzar. You can’t afford to miss that, can you?
The original was a superhit
Drishyam is the remake of a successful Malayalam film of the same name, with Mohanlal and Meena as the lead actors. Recently, Kamal Haasan and Gauthami starred in the Tamil remake of the film, Papanasam. And that was a hit, too! As we all know, Bollywood is almost obsessed with remaking successful South films. And this one- Drishyam- definitely looks promising to us!
