Your Cosplay Cheat Sheet

Nerds and geeks, rejoice. Finally, after a long year of waiting, Mumbai Film and Comic Con has returned. And with that, comes an integral part of Comic Con – Cosplaying. For those of you who aren’t nerdy enough, cosplaying is an art form that involves dressing up like or imitating your favorite video game, anime, manga, or cartoon characters. Don’t know where to start? That’s okay. For someone new to the Con, cosplaying may seem a lot like Frodo’s journey to Mordor. But fret not, here’s a cheat sheet to cosplaying at Comic Con 2015!

Mario and Luigi

What you need: Red and green t-shirts, denim overalls, red and green caps, Italian accents.

Number of people required: 2

What your line should be: “It’s a me, Mario!”

Misty

What you need: A yellow tank-top, jean shorts and red suspenders.

Number of people required: 1

What your line should be: “Staryu, I choose you!”

Clark Kent/Superman

What you need: Nerd glasses, curly hair, a Superman tee and a white shirt.

Number of people required: 1

What you should do: Open your first two buttons, puff out your chest and stare into the distance.

Logan/Wolverine

What you need: Ripped blue jeans, a white tee, leather biking jacket, dog tags and a lot of hair. And claws.

Number of people required: 1

What you should do: Whip out your claws and growl.

Princess Leia

What you need: Flowy white dress, a belt and a cool gun. Also, you need a good hairdresser.

Number of people required: 1

What you should do: Point the gun at unsuspecting cosplayers.

Dapper Stormtrooper

What you need: A well-cut suit and a Stormtrooper helmet.

Number of people required: 1

What you should do: Fold your arms and stare at everyone.
