Yuvi, Tussi Naa Jao!

Your Team Or Your Favorite player? Choose one

Not only will the fourth season of the Indian Premier League have two new teams, it will have altogether different team make-up as well, which will tell if the fans stick to their teams or move on where their favourite players will be playing.

At the end of their three-year contracts, all the players – expect a handful of those who were retained by their employers – were thrown into the auction pool. At the end of that auction earlier this year, the eight previous teams had gone through a major revamp.

Pretty lasses of Chandigarh are certainly going to miss their local hero Yuvraj Singh as the cynosure gave up his Kings XI kit to don the Pune Warriors colours. We pity you Preity!

Preity and Yuvraj

Many Punjabi puttars would still support the Kings XI for being the home team, but they would certainly miss the presence of Yuvraj Singh, Brett Lee, S Sreesanth and Irfan Pathan.

Where Yuvraj’s and Brett Lee’s looks were best selling for the team in past seasons, amusing personality of Sreesanth was also admired by the youth.

It’s not just Yuvraj who made a move; India’s Gautam Gambhir left his home in Delhi to lead the Shah Rukh Khan-owned Kolkata Knight Riders.

Yusuf Pathan, who became a household name in Rajasthan with his explosive innings, will accompany Gambhir in the Kolkata camp and Adam Gilchrist will lead Kings XI Punjab instead of the Deccan Chargers, and the list goes on.

So it can’t be denied that this edition of the IPL will make it clear whether the fans supported the teams or the players. And there is little doubt that it will take some time for the fans to digest the changes that the new season brings.

IPL fans, you’ll have a tough choice to make!
