Come join us at The BlueBop Cafe on 6th December, 8:30 pm onwards with AbSynth featuring the talented Aditya Jayakar on Keys, Subid Khan on Guitar, Shravan Samsi on Drums, Sayar Mitra on Bass.
Aditya is known for his innovative tones and incorporation of Analog Synthesizers in Jazz and Funk Jazz bringing a fresh and unique sound. Aditya started AbSynth early in 2019 as a project to bring fresh sounds and challenging tunes that captivate and thrill audiences all around. Aditya released his own album Catching Dreams in 2018 which got listeners and recognition worldwide.
Subid Khan is a guitar player/composer. He is the founder member of the bands The Many Roots Ensemble and Riddim Funktion and is also currently part of the Rashtriya Swing Sena. He has also been a part of Run Pussy Run, DunCun Rufus, Peter Pussarnig and many renowned projects. His teachers are Sanjay Divecha, Amyt Datta and Pt. Debashish Bhattacharya.
Shravan is a young and electric drummer. He has studied Hindustani classical tabla from the early age of 4 from his father, the iconic Pt. Yogesh Samsi and currently seeks guidance from the legendary drummer Ranjit Barot. He has shared the stage amongst the likes of Pt. Ravi Chary, Ustad Fazal Qureshi, and his father, Pt. Yogesh Samsi and plays for several prominent bands and artists. His fine taste in perceiving the art and expressing it through his instrument reflects his rich amalgamation of tradition, perfection and consummate artistry.
Sayar Mitra, a bass player accommodates a wide variety of playing styles ranging from Bebop&funk to melodic chordal zones, with influences in classical music. Sayar, mostly a self-taught musician has been playing for 9 years and has been mentored by the Pt. Khokon Mukherjee, Amyt Datta, and Mainak Chowdhury. He has performed with renowned musicians like Pt. Bickram Ghosh, Ustad Rashid Khan, and Pt. Tarun Bhattacharya.
