About The Event
Ronkini Gupta will perform 3 distinct Raagas, all concerning with 5 note progressions or 'Audav Jaati ke Raag'. Although they are all pentatonic, their 'bhaav' is completely varied. She will explore these Raagas through her improv singing techniques, pertinent to the two Gharanas that influence her, namely - Gwalior and Kirana.
She has trained under Pt. Chandrakant Apte and Ustad Abdul Rashid Khan, both from the Gwalior Gharana. She has also had some advanced training under Ustad Dilshad Khan of the Kirana Gharana. She is a Sangeet Visharad and the youngest recipient of National Merit at Doverlane Music Conference.
