About The Instructor:

Satish Kasetty is a National award-winning film director.  He directed his first film “hope”, which went on to win a National award in the category of “best film on social issues” in the year 2006. He also wrote the Story, screenplay and dialogues of this film. A movie in which the legendary Shri Ramanaidu played the protagonist and Shri Illayaraja gave the music. Was the only Telugu film, which made it to the Indian panorama section that year after a gap of 10 years. The film ‘hope’ also won the prestigious jury award from SICA. Mr. Satish is one amongst the few who was able to earn such accolades for his story, screenplay, dialogues and direction for his debut film. Armed with a story, which had music at its core.


Mr. Satish went on to write and direct “Kalavaramaye Madilo” in 2009. This movie won the Nandi award, which is the highest state award as the third best film. The renowned playback singer Mrs.Chitra won the best singer award for the song in this film.

He served as a jury member for the National Awards in 2012. His latest film “Terror” starring Srikanth, Nikitha, Nassar, released on Feb 26th. Critics, Audiences and the industry people unanimously applauded the film.


He held the position of the dean at Ramanaidu film school and as visiting professor at Annapurna film school, for a brief period. He is a visiting faculty to ICAT Design & Media College (since 2011).
