Project Samuh in association with The HIVE Learning Club and SwapBook! presents Life in Motion, a glimpse into the underlying principles of physics that govern our lives. This will be an informal but informative lecture cum discussion presented by Prof. Mithun Mitra, associate professor at IIT Bombay and researcher in the domain of biophysics.

Together, we will look at some of the fascinating strategies that life has evolved to keep on moving. From proteins to single cells, from groups of cells to flocks of birds; we will learn how the lessons learned at each scale feed into the next higher level.

This talk is child-friendly and the only requisite for this lecture is an open mind. If you thirst for knowledge, are curious about the forces that shape life in us and around us and would like to spend a Saturday evening in steeped in discussion and debate with interesting minds; this program is meant for you.

About Project Samuh: Project Samuh is a collective for eager minds intent to discover hidden facts and open secrets about the world around us. With a diverse series of lectures and discussions ranging from science and technology to nature and ecology, Project Samuh intends to create a community based, a niche for informative entertainment for the urban audience.

Project Samuh hosts their monthly meetings at the Hive Learning Club and is an active page on Facebook.

About The Hive Learning Club: The Hive Learning Club is an ongoing series of lectures by the HIVE covering topics like Internet Trends, Innovations in Science & Technology, Gender & Sexuality, Mental health and Spirituality to name a few. We would like to bridge the gap between a lack of informal meeting spaces that are engaged in conversations like this, delivered & moderated by communities and experts in their respective fields. We hope this builds more awareness about the subject matter in question and also creates a safe space to have these conversations These lectures are also a starting point to more serious workshops and discussions that we have lined up in the coming months for people who want to dive deeper into these discussions.

About SwapBook!: SwapBook! began as a book exchange and discussion club in 2011 in Mumbai between a group of friends and has today expanded across six cities, including one overseas chapter in Amsterdam. SwapBook! hosts meetings where interested readers can meet other readers from different walks of life and discuss art, culture, entertainment, food, history and exchange books.

SwapBook! hosts their monthly meeting typically on the Second Saturday of the month and is an active group on Facebook.
