Introducing - The Film Caravan Festival! 

Lost The Plot Rooftop Cinema’s next big thing, the Film Caravan Festival is a one of its kind film, flea and performing arts festival - a platform bringing together creators, curators, and audiences across two days in a garden venue under the stars!

A reflection of the unique fact that filmmaking at its very core is a collaborative art form, the Festival will feature a diverse range of activities including film screenings and Q&As, live music, a theatre performance and poetry slam, workshops, food & drink pop-ups and even a mini flea market – a weekend gathering for all lovers of art & creativity!

The music stage – curated by Sofar Pune - will feature handpicked Indian talent playing uplifting, original, contemporary music – a mix of singer-songwriters and bands.

The film screenings will include a series of local Indian as well as International shorts and feature films. On Sunday our focus turns to animation as we discover stop motion through the ages through a series of short films and cult classics from the animation genre.

On Saturday, discover how to tell a story using just 17 syllables by participating in a collaborative Haiku circle – a form of traditional Japanese poetry – kept alive by the folks at HaikuJAM. On Sunday, join us for the Mead Slam, hosted by Bullock Cart Poetry. The first of its kind, the slam will see 10 poets battle it out by reciting some of their best and most fun poems to win an entire case of mead – a fermented honey-based alcoholic beverage that is known in Norse and Indian mythology to inspire knowledge and the art of poetry in whoever drinks it!

Ever watched a play in gibberish? The IAPAR team entertains and provokes with The Balancing Act, a clowning performance for children and adults alike that explores the idea of violence in a child’s life in a whimsical, amusing play.

Keeping spirits high is our tightly curated food & beverage section featuring local Indian brands. Spend the weekend tasting eclectic brews from Great State Aleworks, Moonshine Meadery, and Independence Brewing Co. while topping it up with cocktails by Bombay based Stranger & Sons, one of only two premium Indian gin brands. And last but not least, we have Mahlzeit, Gourmet Man and The Bowl (by Elephant & Co.,) dishing out yummy grub – from doner kebabs to pizzas to comforting South East Asian rice bowls - to keep our tummies happy!

What The Haiku by HaikuJAM

WTH is a social writing workshop that explores the weird and wonderful world of Haiku poetry. You will learn about the form and its history through fun and thought-provoking activities, write haiku collaboratively and take part in an intimate reading session. 

Sound in Storytelling

This workshop conducted by musician, sound engineer & filmmaker Malay Vadalkar will focus on the aesthetics of designing sound for any audio-visual media including ADR, Foley recording, track-laying and mixing as well as professional hacks for low budgets. Whether you are a filmmaker interested in making sound design career or a regular movie binger - after this workshop you will never listen to a film the same way again! 

Poetry & Chai by Bullock Cart Poetry

Poetry and Chai will celebrate the art of telling of stories through verse. The workshop will cover discussions on the history of the art form, examples of stories in poetic formats, live readings, and performances as well as writing and reciting exercises, peer discussion and feedback sessions in a constructive environment. 

Storytelling & Illustration

This workshop will explore the art of telling stories - frame by frame - with a tool as simple as a pencil at hand! You will get to dip your toes in the world of sequential illustration, the building block for the art of storyboarding, with animator and comic book artist, Samidha Gunjal. She specialises in children’s book illustration and has several years of experience under her belt. Feel free to bring your own drawing materials such as A4 papers, pencils, pens and color pencils. 


  • Age Limit: 3+.
  • Outside Food and Alcohol STRICTLY PROHIBITED
  • A physical ticket will be issued at the venue box office on the day of the event in exchange for your e-ticket purchase confirmation from bookmyshow.com. Please carry valid photo id for verification of the ticket holder name along with your e-ticket print out.
  • A ticket shall not be a valid ticket if the barcode or hologram has been tampered with.
  • No refund on a purchased ticket is possible, even in case of any rescheduling.
  • Unlawful resale (or attempted unlawful resale) of a ticket would lead to seizure or cancellation of that ticket without refund or other compensation.
  • Duplicate tickets will not be issued for lost or stolen tickets.
  • Each ticket admits one person only.
  • This is a wrist-band access festival. In case wrist-bands are taken off, a replacement wrist-band will not be issued.
  • Wristbands removed or tampered with will be rendered invalid and WILL NOT be replaced.
  • Alcohol will be served to guests above the legal drinking age (LDA) and on display of valid age proof. LDA bands will be provided at the venue on proof of age.
  • Artist line-up, performances, movies, discussions and billed attractions may be subject to change.
  • Organizers reserve the right to perform security checks on invitees/members of the audience at the entry point for security reasons.
  • Organizers or any of its agents, officers, employees shall not be responsible for any injury, damage, theft, losses or cost suffered at or as a result of the event of any part of it.
  • Parking near or at the festival premises is at the risk of the vehicle owner. The organizer will not hold responsibility for any damage or theft of any vehicles within the stipulated parking premises of the festival.
  • Consumption and sale of illegal substances is strictly prohibited.
  • Arms, and ammunition, eatables, bottled water, beverages, alcohol are not allowed from outside the festival. Food and beverages will be available inside the festival.
  • This ticket permits entry to the festival grounds only. Workshops may have other ticketing requirements and may be sold separately.
  • Rights of admission reserved, even to valid ticket holders.
  • Organizers are not responsible for any negative effects of food items or drinks consumed in the venue by festival guests; we encourage guests to drink responsibly and in moderation.
  • Persons suspected of carrying items that may be used in an offensive or dangerous manner, or carrying out illegal activities within the site may be searched.
  • Any disputes to be settled under Pune jurisdiction courts only.
  • The holder of this ticket hereby grants organizers the right to use, in perpetuity, all or any part of the recording of any tape made of holders appearance on any channel for broadcast in any and all media globally and for advertising, publicity and promotion relating hereto.
  • The organizers reserve the right without refund or other recourse, to refuse admission to anyone who is found to be in breach of these terms and conditions including, if necessary, ejecting the holders of the ticket from the venue after they have entered the ground.
  • Internet handling fee per ticket may be levied. Please check your total amount before payment.
  • Tickets once booked cannot be exchanged or refunded.
  • Possession sale and dealing in Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic substances attract stringent punishments under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, which ranges from 6 months up to 20 years imprisonment and fine up to Rupees Two Lakhs.
  • Consumption of the narcotic drug or psychotropic substance (cocaine, morphine, diacetyl morphine or any other narcotic drug) or any psychotropic substance is liable for rigorous imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine which may extend to Twenty Thousand rupees; or with both under NDPS Act, 1985.
