Nautanki Chhau for Kids Workshop (Age: 8+)
In these sessions, you shall explore the intricacies of Chhau, working together to create a Chhau-based performance.
Following are the components of the course:
1. Grounding in the body using the techniques of martial art Chhau
2. A set of body conditioning routines, which will open all the joints, increase flexibility and strength
3. Chhau kicks and blocks
4. Animal walks and movements
5. Breathing techniques to open the energy channels and facilitating one to find a deeper internal connection
6. Martial art Chhau to develop endurance
7. Routines, which will anchor you in your core
8. A holistic approach to finding the balance between masculine and feminine energies
9. How to use these techniques in your performance
10. And of course, dance martial arts, folk rhythms and lots of joy.
