Set against the backdrop of a Mumbai suburban local, The Last Train is a social satire, exploring a series of bizarre circumstances, including a gruesome accident involving a VIP’s headless body at a railway crossing. The narrative unfolds with an absurd, yet compelling, feel, leaving the audience in a reflective state of mind. This play was shortlisted for the prestigious BBC World Playwriting Award.
Anju Makhija is a well-known poet, playwright and gifted translator. She has 13 books to her credit, including poetry collections, translations, and anthologies.
