Violin Player

Writer-director Bauddhayan Mukherji’s ‘The Violin Player’ is a very sensitive story of a failed violinist’s fateful encounter with a mysterious filmmaker. Actor Ritwick Chakraborty’s character, a struggling violinist, embarks on a journey to face upsetting truths about music, art, life, and survival the day he has a chance encounter with a stranger played by none other than Adil Hussain. The story takes a riveting turn when the stranger appears to be a filmmaker with a suspiciously good job offer which the violinist can’t refuse. The Violin Player has made rounds and won rave reviews at some of the leading international film festivals such as Raindance Film Festival 2018, Durban Film Festival and more.

Interestingly, the film is based on a play, titled “Abayab” written by the director himself. Watch as the drama unfolds under the artistic direction and innovative screenplay by the crew.
