‘The Shorts Premiere’ an initiative of CineShorts Premiere where we curate some brilliant, festival acclaimed cult Indie short films. Moreover, its an event where you learn, network & explore possibilities with a like minded community of cinephiles. So join us as we sail you through an array of some handpicked short films followed by an interactive discussion with the makers / cast & crew of the film. We are excited to host you on some thought-provoking and inspiring films that certainly promises an evening of entertainment, reflection, and engaging discussion.

The screenings shall be followed by a session called ‘Tasting Success’ with Abhishek Dhandaria (Producer/Director) & Sameer Mishra (Writer) on their acclaimed debut show ‘PhysicsWallah’.

A story of two street dwellers Chhotu and Bholu’s strive for “happiness”. The sons of a drunkard and drug addict rag picker, the life of the brothers aged 8years and 4years take a U-turn when they come across a picture book which has images of animals residing in the zoo.

In a remote village of Manipur, India, feelings of uncertainty grow towards a newly arrived ecology expert, who is believed to be a witch.

5 Star – Directed By Rohit Chauhan

A ride hailing cab driver is struggling to maintain good ratings on his job. He accepts the ride request for Shraddha, who is shifting her grandmother, suffering from dementia, to a hospice. The journey leads to a series of events and heartbreaking revelations.

About Abhishek Dhandharia:

Abhishek is a director/producer working for last 9 years and also a graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. His latest project, a web series "Physics Wallah" based on the life of a Unicorn Alakh Pandey has been well acclaimed amongst critics as well as viewers. His production house - About Films, has produced several TV commercials with big names like Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani, Manoj Bajpayee, Bhumi Pednekar, Pooja Hegde, and many more. He has also worked under the gratifying guidance of Sudhir Mishra.

About Sameer Mishra:

Sameer Mishra an IIT Graduate from Bombay is a writer/director known for scripting the famous Amazon Mini TV show `Physics Wallah` and various TV shows like `Ek Dooje ke Vaaste` , `Dil se Dil tak`, `Shankar Jai Kishan 3 in 1` & `Karn Sangini` to name a few. He has also worked with numerous brands creating web ads and digital campaigns for them. The most popular among these are the deeply nostalgic video series created for the beverage brand `Paper Boat Drinks` and the web series `woh-din` created in association with Parle-G.
