Udayswar@Prithvi is a rare and truly unique acoustic experience of Indian Classical Music in the manner it was originally designed, for an intimate Baithak.

Based on the 8 Prahars (time spans) of the day, this Indian Classical Music concert features morning ragas of the 2nd Prahar performed by various artistes.

Kumar Mardur - Vocal

Kumar Mardur began his musical voyage under the tutelage of his father PanditSomanathMardur, a renowned Hindustani classical vocalist of Kirana Gharana. Under the able guidance of his father, he has blended the styles of Kirana, Gwalior, and Jaipur  to create a 'gayaki'  of his own 

Endowed with a melodious voice, Kumar's performances reflect his command over laya, taan patterns and his aesthetic presentation of the raga. Kumar has completed his masters in Music from Karnatak University, Dharwad. 

He has received several scholarships and is performing all the over the country enthralling audiences. Serving his responsibility as a teaching faculty at ITC - SRA since December 2011, he has been honoured with the prestigious UstadBismillah Khan YuvaPuraskar by SangeetNatakAkademi, Delhi in 2012.
