Verdict: A funny watch for the weekend. It has been a bit of a pattern with the Housefull franchise that the critics have not given the movies much appreciation, but the audiences seem to have loved them both. It won`t be surprising if Housefull 3 also gets a similar reception. You`d expect the film to []... ...Read full review
If you have seen the two earlier installments of this franchise, you already know that is purely a `leave-your-brains-behind` affair. The premise is a comedy of errors. But unlike Gulzar`s gem Angoor (1982), this one is not about twins. It`s so convoluted, it will make Shakespeare turn in his grave. Sample this. On the whole, HOUSEFULL 3 has all the constituents of an archetypal Hindi masala movie with hilarity, absurdity, humour, gags and punches in abundance. The film is a madcap entertainer which delivers guffaws, belly laughs and over-the-top slapstick humour in gigantic proportion. The film however is bound to get diverse reactions from the audiences. If you admire and relish these entertainers, and are passionate about cinema of this variety, then HOUSEFULL 3 is definitely a stress buster for you. Else, you can stay away from this. At the Box-Office, HOUSEFULL 3 will appeal only to the masses, the aam aadmi, who relish hardcore masala movies. ...Read full review
Theres good news and bad news for anyone whos having trouble trying to make up their mind whether to watch Housefull 3. The good news is that despite sticking to the core values of the previous films in the series meaning its offensive, frequently racist, and flat out harebrained its never a soul-crushing experience in the way that some Akshay Kumar starrers can be (yes, Rowdy Rathore, Im looking at you). Meanwhile the bad news is that the film feels tempered as if deliberately holding back its punches which is just as frustrating, given that moderation has seldom served comedies well. As a result were left with a film thats entirely puerile, only sporadically funny, but not even so bad that it rattles you. Its a plain and simple bore. ...Read full review
