SYNOPSIS
Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt star in an exciting action-thriller about two passengers who are on a 120-year journey to another planet when their hibernation pods wake them 90 years too early. Jim and Aurora are forced to unravel the mystery behind the malfunction as the ship teeters on the brink of collapse, with the lives of thousands of passengers in jeopardy.
Verdict: Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt make this average film watchable. Passengers had everything going for it. A lavish budget, a larger-than-life setup, and two incredibly good-looking actors in the lead roles. Two strangers, infinite space and 90 years on the clock. If that doesnt intrigue a sci-fi fan, little else will. For a time when sci-fi movies are a dime a dozen, Passengers at least gets its plot right. There are no complications of wars between galaxies or superheroes in space. Space is a mysterious place: majestic, abound and infinite. But it is still not a bigger mystery than Passengers. Is it a space opera, an adventure film, an emotional drama or a love story?
