We have always known that Spider-Man`s most important conflict has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that his greatest battle is about to begin.

It`s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there is no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city.

With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: Oscorp.

Its hard to keep the amazing coming, but somehow, Marc Webb manages it yet again, two years after The Amazing Spider-Man and not so many years later that people have forgotten Tobey Maguire doing those same tricks with more or less the same material. The primary reason is Andrew Garfield, who brings good looks and innocent charm, goofy spunk and enough heart, as well as dollops of romance, to give us a Spider-Man more close to our times, when being nerdy is not nearly as bad. Spider-Man is one the most iconic heroes of all time. Even before Iron Man, Captain America and The Hulk, Spider-Man was a household name and a fan favourite across the globe. It mades sense to keep that bit of nostalgia alive with a reboot after Sam Raimi`s Spider-Man series. Although, after watching The Amazing Spider-Man, expectation weren`t that high for this series to become one that will be talked about years later. However after The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hit theatres, expectations were blown out of the park. The film is the sequel to the first installment that introduced us to Peter Parker, Gwen Stacy, Aunt May and all the rest of the Spidey family. This film dwells deeper into the burdens of a hero combined well with the trials of being a kid with normal life problems ...Read full review
There is a very fine line between elaborating a plot and complicating it. Lets face it, The Amazing Spiderman series, at the end of the day, is a sequel to several other sequels in the past. So to still remain amazing at this point, is a task harder than pinning down all the human and semi-human villains in the entire comic book series. The predecessor of this particular film did good, riding high on the novelty of a new, very-next-door-like Spiderman in the form of Andrew Garfield. We liked this Peter Parkers lithe frame, his adorable relationship with Aunt May (Sally Field) and his blossoming love for Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone), besides of course his interpretation of the superhero bit. ...Read full review
