Vyasan is a great social film that highlights the perils of drinking and drug addiction. Vijay, a simple and honest man, living happily with his family in a village sells his ancestral property in greed of money, being negatively influenced by his friends. Soon after he receives the money, Vijay starts spending it on alcohol. He also contests the village election to become a Sarpanch and ends up losing a huge amount of money in the process. His wife then leaves the house and starts living with a woman, who is introduced by Vijay's friend. However, the same woman who helps Vijay's wife cons him and takes away his property.
The movie showcases how addiction not only ruins Vijay's life but also destroys his family.
