Bharti Sharma, M.A. (Hindi), Delhi University, National School of Drama Graduate (1987 Batch), Founder Member and Director of Kshitij Theatre Group, has been doing theatre in Delhi for last 40 years, acted in over fifty plays and has directed more than 40 plays, some of her well acclaimed plays are Pahaunch Wala Aadmi, Goli..ek Paidayishi Ghulam, Barfeeli Aandhi Aur Pistaul Ka Nishana, Shakuntala (in Nagpuri dialect), Nepathya Raag, Main Hoon Na-(in time & space), Sabse Bada Dharm, Pandit Jagannath, Bade Bhai Sahab aur Bimaar, Elder Son, Begam. Zainabadi, Ab Na Banegi Dehri Purnavataar, Adhe Adhure, Bagiya Bancha Ram Ki, Episode In The Life Of An Author, Dilli Jo Ek Shaher Tha, Raag Droh, Andha Yug. Do Dukhon Ko Ek Sukh aur Maimood, Karmabhoomi, Tughlaq, Guilty! My Lord, Aisa Kehte Hain. She has been awarded the Senior Fellowship by the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India in the field of Theatre for her research on the subject of Changing Styles and Methods of Theatre Acting. The research work has been published in the form of a book. She is conferred with Zohra Sehgal National Raas Rang Samman, 2022 by the Raas Kala Manch, Safidon, Panipat . Her play ''Karmabhoomi '' was invited by the Indian High Commission to be performed in the World Hindi Day celebrated in Mauritius in January 2018 through ICCR. She also dramatised four novels BIYABAN MEIN UGTEY KINSHUK written by Dr. Sudha Shrivastava, 'GOLI, written by Acharya Chatursen, PURNAVATAAR, written by Pramath Nath Bishi, 'BEGUM ZAINABADI written by Sharad Pagare, AB NA BANEGEE DEHRI written by Padma Sachdeva and stories by A Pushkin BLIZZARD and THE SHOT, Bade Bhai Saheb and Gulli Danda by Premchander and has performed the dramatised plays for Kshitij. She has performed in the International Art Festivals of Tunisia, Rome, Egypt, Syria and Kuwait with Parvatiya Kala Kendra through ICCR and has performed several times in Bharat Rang Mahotsav, organised by National School of Drama).
Performed in Mohan Rakesh Samman Samaroh, Bhartendu Natya Samaroh, Odeon Theatre Festival, Calcutta, Kathmandu International Theatre Festival 2008, Kathmandu, Nepal, Woman Directors Theatre Festival, Bhopal 2011, Woman Directors Theatre Festival, Chandigarh 2012, thrice in India International Art Festival, Delhi and International theatre festival ''8th Theatre Olympics 2018'' organised by NSD. Theatre Festival organised by Sangeet Natak Akademi in Chandigarh in 2017. Has also written the ScreenPlay and Dialogues of 2 hours film KALA-HEERA' and acted as the lead female character of the film. made for ZEE T.V, by Bharti Productions. Directed & Co-produced all the documentaries made by Kshitij for Dept. Of Culture, Govt. of India. Has directed short-films and educational films for Deepali Plan Project (a Social Organization).
