Shri Kalamandalam C Gopalakrishnan is a famous Kathakali artist and well-known performer in Mumbai as well as in the world. He is an alumnus of Kerala Kalamandalam. He had the privilege of studying under the well-known maestros of Kathakali, Padmabhushan Shri. Kalamandalam Ramankutty Nair and Padmasree Shri Kalamandalam Gopi etc.

For the past 30 years, he has been teaching at Nalanda Nirtya Kala Mahavidhyalaya, Mumbai. In Nalanda , he accompanies Dr. (Smt) Kanak Rele on all her choreographic ventures and performances as a Nattuvangam artist. He is also a highly sought-after teacher in the disciples of Kathakali and Mohiniattam. Kalamandalam C Gopalakrishnan is an A grade artiste of Doordarshan. He has performed all over the world and has earned wide acclaim. He has also choreographed and essayed major roles in several productions like Satyavan Savitri, Naranathu Brandhan and Pritha Vishadam. He has also choreographed dance ballets like Karuna, Kavya Kairali, St.Francic and Rishysringan
He also associated with Kalakshethram, Dombivili since its inception.
