Early Life :
Kevin Delaney Kline is an American actor. He graduated from the Saint Louis Priory School in 1965. In 1997, the school named its new auditorium the Kevin Kline Theatre. After attending Indiana University in Bloomington, Kline studied at the Juilliard School in New York.
Career Highlights :
In 1978 he played the role of Bruce Granit, on the Twentieth Century. His first film was Sophie`s Choice (1982). He was also seen in the movies A fish Called Wanda (1988), Chaplin (1992), Wild Wild West (1999), The Anniversary Party (2001), The Pink Panther (2006) and No Strings Attached (2011). He was last seen The Last of Robin Hood (2013), My Old Lady (2014) and Ricki and the Flash (2015). His upcoming movie is Beauty and the Beast, which is releasing in March, 2017.
Awards :
- Kevin has won two Tony awards, the first in 1978 for the role of Bruce Granit in `On the Twentieth Century`, and the second in 1981 for the role of The Pirate King in `The Pirates of Penzance.`
- Kevin Kline won Oscar in 1989 Best Actor in a Supporting Role for
A Fish Called Wanda (1988).
- He won Screen Actors Guild Awards in 2008 for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Miniseries or Television Movie for As You Like It (2006).
