Mohit Tripathi is a renowned actor, writer, and director. An alumnus of IMAGO acting school, Mohit has had the opportunity to work with eminent theatre teachers such as Barry John and Habib Tanveer. He has acted in over 50 plays under the direction of Arvind Gaur, Bharti Sharma, Kirti Jain, Bipin Kumar, Avtar Sahni, Sanjeev Sharma, and Neeraj Kabi. His most notable performances include Girish Karnad's Tughlaq, Dharamvir Bharati's Andha Yug, Mahesh Dattani's Final Solution and Tara.
Two of his original plays - Main Bhi Bachchan and Masterpiece have been published and are performed with great enthusiasm in different parts of the country.
He received the Best Actor award at the 11th Natsamrat Theatre Awards, 2018.
Other plays adapted and directed by him include Mahesh Elkunchwar's ''Reflection'', Samuel Beckett's ''Waiting For Godot'' and ''End Game'', ''Romi Julie'' a Haryanvi musical adaptation of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, Girish Karnad's ''Hayavadana'', ''K'' inspired by Franz Kafka's 'The Trial', Haruki Murakami's ''Shinagawa'' and an original play ''Madh Island''.
Mohit has worked as the Associate Director on the National Award-winning film The Coffin-maker (2013) Starring Naseeruddin Shah and BA Pass (2012). He has also acted in the web series Powder (2010), and Bollywood Diaries (2016).
