Pallavi Ram is an artist born and brought up in the island of Mauritius, but who later immigrated to the US where she completed her BSc in Business Administrations. She might be an island girl, but her roots are from India. Her love for cinema stems from all the Bollywood movies she watched up growing up, which led to her choosing this profession. Pallavi Ram is a trained actor; she has a diploma in acting from Anupam Khers Actor Prepares acting school. She has acted as a primary artist in a short movie for Amazon Mini and in a feature movie, Covid Stories. Her team and her recently won the Gold Film of the year award at the IFP 50hr Filmmaking Challenge 2022 for their short movie Punita. In 2013 she won the Miss Mauritius national pageant and later went to compete in Miss Universe pageant. She is fluent in Hindi, English, French and Creole. She enjoys all forms of dancing as well as the little things in life, and her first and only love remains: the camera!
