Raghavendra Rao is a Musician andComposer with extensive experience in Hindustani Classical Vocal and a performing Artist for Light music industry. He has an extensive exposure to Music and has provided Musical Concerts all over the State of Karnataka, with in our Country as well as in USA.
Trained under veteran Guru Sri D.B. Harindra and famous Sugama Sangeeta stalwarts Dr. C. Ashwath and Sri. Raju Ananthaswamy, Raghavendra also underwent learning of Ghazals from Sri. Jagjit Singh for a brief period. He had the good fortune of performing alongside legends like, Dr. Raj Kumar, Dr. C. Ashwath, Shivamogga Subbanna and Sangeeta Katti. Since 30 years Raghavendra Rao is singing and training youngsters in the field of light music along with promoting and restoring the Kannada language and culture through his NGO Pranathi Pratishthana. He has sung and composed music for Plays, TV shows, Movies, Radio, Albums, Ad commercials, the list goes on. He is known for singing Shishunaala Shariff songs.
Being a post graduate in Biotechnology, Raghavendra pursued the jobs as pharma consultant and microbiologist with prestigious companies for few years before coming back to theatre, his one time passion. He has been in theatre for more than 25 years. Performed in a number of plays under the able guidance of renound directors like Sri. Ram Rao, Sri. Aasif Kshatriya, Sri. M.C Anand, Sri. Madhava Rao S.K and Kum. Swetha Srinivas.

Raghavendra Rao has been the Winner of the First Reality Show on Kannada Music aired on Television (Doordarshan) ''SANGEETA SAMBHRAMA'' in 1999-2000. Also he has State and National Awards for acting in plays.
