Shreeya Agamya hails from the historical city of Mysore. Born to a well educated family, she studied Engineering in Electronics and
Communications. At present she is working as Associate Software Engineer at Bengaluru.
During her school and college days Shreeya was a very keen on learning acting skills and tried her hands on it several times. She kept this desire aside to achieve her goals academically. After her B.E., she joined a corporate company for a sustainable living and then started nurturing her desire to become an actress. This led her to join Tent Cinema. There she learned the basics of acting. Her passion was boundless and hence she further joined RANGARATHA - Indian Performing Arts Company, Bengaluru and underwent extensive training in acting, speech science, gesture engineering and voice culture for almost a year. Later she took up and qualified a certificate course, Theatre Internship Program, organized by RANGARATHA TRUST, under eminent directors and film personalities like Aasif Kshathriya and Shwetha Shrinivas. It was here Shreeya Agamya, the nuances of acting skills and overall theatre craft.
Her skills are extended to dancing and anchoring. Shreeya is a good contemporary dancer and pursuing Kathak classical dance too. Also, she has been hosting stage shows at major cultural events and has been anchoring corporate events too.
Her dedication, commitment and hard work paid off one day when she got an offer to play a beautiful character in a play, Sevanthi Prasanga produced by Rangaratha IPAC. This was her debut as a professional actress. Since then there was no looking back for Shreeya as she went on performing show after show and carving a niche in the field. Because of her dedication and fine acting skills, she got an opportunity to become a core member of Rangaratha, Indian Performing Arts Company.
Today, is a household name among theatre fraternity and the audience at large, with lot of fan following. She has bagged new prominent roles in a new plays Krauncha Geetha, Operation Absinth and Malavikagnimithra, all produced by Rangaratha Indian Performing Arts Company.
