Sushil started his acting journey by participating in Intercollegiate Drama Competitions like Indian National Theatre, Mrugajal, Munshi Shield. His best-known experimental plays are Get together, The Death of a Conqueror, Inshaallah, Asur Ved, Var Khali Don Paay, Aranya Kiran & Uddhwastha Dharmashala. He has won the prestigious Zee Marathi Best Actor, Ma Ta Sanman, Sanskrutikala Darpan for his outstanding performances as an Actor. Further, he has won Zee Marathi Best supporting actor for Ha Shekhar Khosla Kon Aahe, Marathi Natya Parishad Best Actor Ha Shekhar Khosla Kon Aahe, Lakshmikant Berde Zep Puraskar for Inshaallah. Sushil has also won 3 Best Actor Medals in State Govt. competitions.
