Many of us have only come across Pu. La. and Atre as playwrights known for their humorous and satirical take on society. Others know them as lyricists. However, there's much more than what meets the eye!
Through their writings, they tried to make us realise a way of life that is far more cultured and meaningful. Their aura still is contagious, one that can make anyone happy and make people forget their worries. Their writings are contemporary, be it plays or abstracts. They are fresh as ever and they have time and again proved to be stress busters for readers.
Out of love and respect for both, they got together and designed this show - Amhi ani amche baap - to share what they learnt from their plays and poetry.
The show comprises parts of some of their most popular plays mixed with performances based on their poetry and comic literature. Some songs are also part of the presentation. All-in-all, a package that would mesmerise the audience for sure.
Amhi ani amche baap is not meant to take account of what these legends achieved. It is a laugh-riot packed in a show and a journey that will strengthen the roots and make us feel proud of our rich Marathi culture.
If you share the same love, you will not want to miss this - Amhi ani amche baap
This play is going to be a wonderful experience.
