Aparajito presents the last theatrical production of Anjan Dutt, Aro Ekta Lear, directed by Anjan Dutt. Based on Shakespeare’s King Lear, Anjan will play the character of King Lear on stage. This is an interpretation of William Shakespeare’s King Lear in Bengali by Anjan Dutt. The play doesn’t change any dialogue but examines the timeless original text through a political lens, exploring how political corruption can lead to the rise of fascism. Set in a modern context, Aro Ekta Lear is Anjan Dutt's final theatre production.
