The Films and Theatre Society presents a
play 'Kaali Shalwar' written by one of the famous and controversial Story teller Saadat Hasan Manto. It illustrates the story of a prostitute 'Sultana' who breaks the ethics of oldest profession of world for a mere dress to wear on the occasion of Muharram in the famous story 'Kaali Shalwar'. The play, full of wit, dark
humor, reveals the innocent desires and insecurities of a human being. The stories of Sultana make you smile and at the same time take you to the dark chambers of human desires and innocent exploration despite being in scorned world. The production is replete with folk music and poetry and is thus a complete entertainer for lovers of literature and others alike.
