Rajasthan’s folkgatha brought the story to theatre theatre, the famous drama, director and actor Habib Tanvir. "It was called ""Charanadas Chor""."
Theatre translated the play by Ramaprasad Banik and the original idea of the drama in 2002 was Debabrata Chakraborty.
Charanadas was a thief but not a liar. That doesn’t really deviate from the commitment itself. Theft is his work and his actions. So Charanadas does not abandon his actions but protects the ‘Verdict’ made to Guru until the end of his life. "Charanadas take four outh to Guru, ""Never eat food in gold dish"", ""Never gather on the back of an elephant"", ""Never marry the princess of a country"" and ""He will never become king of a country""." “King and thief” is almost synonymous but being a thief as a king! But the irony of luck, in reality with the Charanadas comes all these proposals. But Charanadas protects the commitment made to his Guru.
Although the royal order disobeyed, the hospitality, the princess could accept until the return of the princess’s marriage proposal, Charanadas was killed by the princess’s order. But even if he gives life, Charanadas does not deviate from his words.
And thus his life becomes thief, and thief. This is the newest product of Dum Dum Biswarupam, produced on the stage ‘Charanadas’, onto the audience.
