One of the most path breaking plays of modern times in Hind Literature, written by the acclaimed "Swadesh Deepak", Court Martial penetrates and questions the age old caste system within the Indian society and that too in as fearless an institution as the Indian Army. The play, with its audaciously honest content, poignantly underlines the caste and class system that lurks underneath the disciplined exterior of the Indian Army. Ram Chander, is reputed for his honesty and obedience, but one day he decides to shoot two of his own seniors and now refuses to talk about the same. A war veteran Col. Surat Singh, who presides this general Court Martial, realizes that the stakes are higher than he thought, but only when the Defense Council, Capt. Bikash Roy, starts unveiling the dark underlying facts.
Directed by Vineet Chopra, and presented by "The Great Indian Storytellers" the show is a sure shot pot boiler and will leave its audiences spell bound by some prolific new actors.
This
play is going to be an
eye opening experience.
