About Dastan-e-Jaan-e-Alam
This Dastangoi is an ode to Wajid Ali Shah, the last king of Awadh, who was one of the greatest patron of art, culture and creativity. After years of academic research and conversations with historians, an effort has been made to divulge the conspiracies which maligned Wajid Ali Shah’s image and to bring forward his real personality. This dastan reflects upon the fact that he was not merely a monarch but a visionary leader who championed the arts as well made constant efforts to ensure peace in his region amidst the tumult of his times. His legacy serves as a beacon of inspiration, reminding us of the transformative power of creativity and cultural expression.
