Ek Gadhe Ki Atamkatha

The play Ek Gadhe Ki Atamkatha is the play written by Mr Akhtar Ali based upon the story of the same name originally written by Mr Krishan Chander. It is a biting satire upon the hollowness and insensitivity of the society towards the saner values of the society।

The donkey of a dhobi is lost. He does not come back in the evening and the dhobi searches for him everywhere such as theatre auditorium, baba jis ashram, hospital, police station, budhijiwis chaos adda but he is not found। Everywhere people make fun of him and ask him to find somewhere else giving birth to funny and absurd situations. In the end after a day or two his dead body is found and the catharsis is built by a speech of dhobi that it is very difficult for a poor and bhola bhala jeev to survive in this calous world
