Sunil Mehra and Askari Naqvi perform two stories, 'Amar Bel' and 'Mughal Baccha', by writer Ismat Chughtai, who was known for her acerbic prose. 'Amar Bel is the story of a hapless, increasingly bitter old man unable to deal with the youth and beauty of his teenage wife. And 'Mughal Baccha' is a tragi-comic story of an eccentric and his beautiful, "fair and lovely" wife foregrounded against the crumbling decay of the old feudal order in the post-Mughal period. Ismat Chughtai is at her inimitable best in these tales.
