KUWARA BAAP (Vadodara)

Kuwara Baap is a light hearted feel-good social play. The story is of businessman Sashikant Jagirdar, his wife Mallika, elder son Malay Jagirdar, daughter in law Shalaka. Sashikant decides to do a grand engagement of his daughter Palak with his old friend Mr. Praful's son. On the day of the engagement, Palak announces that she isn't willing to get engaged as she is pregnant. This shocks the whole Jagirdar family. Everyone scrambles to find solutions for this problem, and Palak's maternal uncle, who is a doctor, is called upon. After conducting tests, Dr. Diwan states that abortion isn't possible due to the weak health of Palak. It would be a huge risk, with Palak's life on the line. This is when Sashikant makes a bold decision and the other protagonist Raju Rajkot enters the story. What is that decision, how will the elite Jagirdar family combat this catastrophic problem, and what will happen to Palak and the child growing inside her?

The play is a sprint of varied emotions, with dollops of humor, and situational comedy, and delivers a sensitive message.

It is a hilarious laughter ride, with strong emotions and great learning making it.
